Anyone that wants to join me and Alan camping on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 3rd and 4th) is more than welcome just let us know. We will be at the Buck Ford area then. If plans change we will let you know here. There is a map to the Buck Ford area on the website in the map section.
Well, its a bit hard to find. If you know where Stunkard Public Access (the place we put in) is then it wont be too hard to find. Just south of there you turn left (if heading south) onto a dirt road. The turn off will be just after the Scraper the Fire Department when heading south.
Luckily for all of us its marked on a map that I have included below.

Also, I have tried to mark it on the maps point of interest page. Give it a try. Its pretty darn cool. Hope to see you out there. I plan on trying to clear the road ways some since the ice has probally cluttered them up a bit.
Hope to see you out there. Camping is free but the camp sites are not equipped with any luxuries.
I recieved word today that Buck Ford area is in need of some help. The road has large muddy pot holes in it and there are alot of downed trees and tree branches. I would still like to be able to make it out there and try to get the place cleaned up for everyone to enjoy this spring. However with the large mud puddles it could be a problem making it in.
I will try to make a trip out there sometime this week and check the conditions of everything. If you have a chainsaw feel free to bring it. I imagine that it will be needed.
Hope to see kayakers make it out to lend a hand or two.
