new trail building on the buffalo river

jan 27- 28 ....the plan is to meet at steel creek campground  at 9:30 and meet, ken smith the author of the (buffalo river hand book.) and help him to add-on to a trail, making it longer. he will bring all the tools >>>  you bring a day pack with lunch/water ....some of us will be camping thru the weekend and floating on sunday ! come for part of it  or all of it!!.........

How do I get there? Will it be ok if we show up late Saturday afternoon. Kayleigh (Atonic) will have to work Saturday.

Oh, and will there be lots of camp fire wood? I imagine that it will be cold.

well things are changing!..... they made a move to  tylerbend campground and the trail is 1.7 miles on hwy 65 to blue ribbon road work will be from 10 to around 3:30 and sundays paddle will be  close by woolum to gilbert i'm thinking!>>>>.  take hwy 65 south out of harrison and take it all the way to tyler bend on your right after the bridge

I think that it would be too far of a drive for me to stay just one night. It appears to be about 3+ hours of drive time. Anything closer going on? Like around Springdale, Rogers, Fayettville, areas?
